In a little over 2 weeks, our Morocco team will be boarding a flight out of Philadelphia Airport with a short stop in Paris en route to the country of Morocco. We started out with a little team of 6, but the team has doubled itself in the last two weeks which we are very excited about.
Our 2 weeks in Morocco will be busy ones. We will be working at a special needs center and a community center in one village, having a fun day with 300 or so young boys at an orphanage, doing a service project at a small village school, investigating water projects in 2 locations, spending time with girls at a detention center and boys in a street boys center, and teaching some sewing and other handcrafts to women in several of these locations.
There are a few items that are always needed for our travel. If you would like to donate any of these items, please contact Beth McMillen ([email protected]).
We could use: lollipops, jumpropes, frisbees, bubble wands, paintbrushes, rollers and roller covers, small flashlights, and manicure sets.
We can also use monetary donations to help us purchase special soccer balls that won’t deflate on the thorny ground and to help us buy the paint that we will need to purchase in country. To donate, go to our donate now page and click on short term teams Morocco.
